September is Emily’s month and many radio stations will be featuring her music as special birthday tributes. Two leading the way come from Amsterdam National Radio, September 8th and 15th on a program titled: House of Hard Bop. Sorry I missed this. I got turned on to Emily’s playing after reading briefly about her in Guitar World once. I then happened to go out and buy her CD “Catwalk” and was truely amazed at her finesse and handling of jazz guitar playing. “Mocha Spice” is a favorite of mine. Learned to play it by ear. Great song. Wish she were still around today so I could tell her that….God Bless you Emily where ever you are!
