This is a French import (can’t you tell by the cover.. wee wee), that is solid! Emily’s Afro Blue is one of several fantastic lesser known and overlooked jazz offerings here. The incredible Cal Tjader is on it plus cuts from The Duke and The Chairman. Mint copies can still be found, try import websites and seller’s that specialize in vinyl.
Best Smooth Jazz Ever
This one features Emily in a 3rd person sense. The included song is a David Benoit composition from his album “Waiting For Spring” called Cast Your Fate To the Wind.
Surprisingly, as goofy as some of the album covers are, these “retro” collections are rich with an incredible spectrum of artists and quality songs.
