A newly revealed CD titled Some Other World by jazz pianist Kai Emiko features Emily on guitar for 5 songs. Brown went into the studio with just that one song worked out. Brown ging in de studio met net dat ene nummer uitgewerkt. It was also the only song using an expanded group, with Emily and tenor saxophonist Red Holloway trying to outdo each other's fire-breathing solos. This is an absolute gem in jazz jam style albums recorded live in Nimes, France. Dit is een absolute parel in jazz jam stijl albums live opgenomen in Nimes, Frankrijk. This strange but fun collection of Christmas guitar instrumentals was put together as a benefit for the National Coalition for the Homeless, and includes everyone from rockers like Al Anderson and Adrian Belew to jazz players and hardcore folkies. Waiting for Spring is one of those lesser known titles featuring Emily's work, and that's unfortunate, because this is a seriously polished jazz offering. This album has a big bossa sound and feel. Dit album heeft een grote bossa sound en feel. Susannah delivers again with extraordinary vocals and will surprise you with her command of singing in both Portuguese and Italian.
