   I haven’t thought about Emily in a long time but I’ll always have great memories of playing with her in little hole-in-the-wall bars in Brooklyn’s Park Slope. انني لم فكرت في اميلي وقتا طويلا ولكن أنا دائما كبيرة ذكريات معها في اللعب قليلا في ثقب - - - فإن الجدار القضبان في بروكلين بارك المنحدر.
   When you first heard her play, you knew that you were playing with a well-studied, serious musician. عندما استمعت الى اول مسرحيه ، انت تعرف ان كنت تلعب مع مدروسه ، الموسيقار خطيرة.    Thank you so much for this site. شكرا جزيلا على هذا الموقع. I spent several hours listening to the interviews, watching the videos and reading articles. قضيت عدة ساعات الاستماع الى المقابلات ، ومشاهدة اشرطه الفيديو وقراءة المواد. Emily was such a cool person! اميلي اذا كان هذا الشخص بارد! Hearing her interviews made me laugh! الاستماع الى المقابلات التي لها جعلني اضحك!
   Also gave me some new insights about music. كما قدم لي افكارا جديدة حول بعض الموسيقى. This site means so much in keeping Emily Remler’s music alive. في هذا الموقع تعني الكثير في حفظ اميلي remler الموسيقى على قيد الحياة. It dose so much to deflect away from the sad details of her passing. انها جرعة لتحويل الكثير من المحزن بعيدا عن تفاصيل وفاة لها. I hope people can visit this page and hear what a funny, talented and loving person she was. وامل ان يستطيع الناس زيارة هذه الصفحه والاستماع الى ما مضحكا ، والموهوبين والمحبة للشخص كانت. Also what great compositions and arrangements! ما هي ايضا كبيرة وفي وترتيبات!    She truely paved the way for female guitarist like me who are in awe of her music. حقا انها مهدت الطريق لأنثى مثلي عازف القيثاره هي من الرهبه في بلدها من الموسيقى. I hope that if there are people out there with videos of Emily’s playing to please post on youtube. وآمل انه اذا كانت هناك الشعب الى هناك مع اشرطه فيديو للاميلي 'sالرجاء الى اللعب على وظيفة YouTube.    Regarding Emily Remler and Larry Coryell album “Together”: I have that album on CD. وفيما يتعلق اميلي remler لاري coryell البوم "معا" : لقد أن الألبوم على أقراص مدمجه. Contact me if you’d like a copy. اتصل بي اذا كنت ترغب في نسخة.

   I’ve always thought that Emily brought more warmness to that album than Larry. انا كنت دائما يعتقد أن أميلي جلب مزيد من الدفء إلى أن الألبوم من لاري. I’ve discovered Emily through Larry, who I think is a great guitarist. لقد اكتشفت من خلال ايميلي لأرى ، أرى من هو كبير عازف القيثاره. But to my ears, Emily is a much warmer player. ولكن الى آذان بلادي ، اميلي هو لاعب أكثر دفئا بكثير.    one of the great concerts of my (nearly) 60 years was seeing emily and larry coryell at the bimhuis in amsterdam late 80’s ? واحدة من حفلات موسيقيه كبيرة من بلادي (تقريبا) 60 عاما وكان لاري ورؤية اميلي coryell في bimhuis في امستردام في وقت متأخر 80 's؟ following which i bought the *together album…2 copies….again easily in my top 5 pieces of music in any category ….. وبعد ذلك انا اشتري معا * 2 نسخ ألبوم……. مرة اخرى بسهولة في بلدي اعلى 5 قطعة من الموسيقى في اي فئة من فئات….. so i’m delighted to see this tribute site appearing … why is this wonderful album not available on cd ? حتى انا مسرور لرؤية هذا الموقع تحية الظهور… لماذا هذا الألبوم الرائع غير متوفره على اقراص؟ … also i’ve discovered that there are wonderful video clips of emily in various settings on youtube …. … لقد اكتشف أيضا أن هناك لقطات فيديو راءعه من ايميلي في مختلف البيئات على YouTube…. again hats off to you for a great site . ومرة اخرى من القبعات لكم على موقع كبيرة.

   Emily Remler’s “Firefly” was one of those extremely intense sensations that lets you know you’re in a new league. اميلي remler "اليراع" واحد من هذه الاحاسيس مكثفة للغاية يسمح لك ان تعرف انك في جامعة جديدة. I listen to the album now equally for Hank Jones’ piano. استمع الى الألبوم الآن على قدم المساواة لهانك جونز 'البيانو. That album really showed me how tasteful and powerful backup, in addition to carefully crafted solos, can make the show. وأظهرت ان البوم حقا كيف لي ان حسن الذوق والقويه الاحتياطيه ، بالاضافة الى المعزوفات المنفرده بعناية ، يمكن ان تقدم العرض. Unbefreakinlievable when a friend told me she was gone. Unbefreakinlievable عندما قال لي صديق وقالت انها ذهبت. Why does one album turn the light on for you, maybe it’s something to do with the timing of hearing it when you’re mind’s finally ready. لماذا ألبوم واحد بدوره على ضوء لكم ، لعلها ان تفعل شيء مع توقيت جلسة الاستماع انه عندما كنت اخيرا على استعداد للاعتبارها.

   Glad to be on this site and I’m really excited that someone took the time to put it up. يسره ان يكون على هذا الموقع وانا حقا بالاثاره ان احدهم قد اخذ من الوقت لوضع الأمر. Wow! واو! Emily was loved by so many who knew her and all of us who never had the opportunity. اميلي هو محبوب من الكثير من بلدها ويعرف كل منا من لم تتح لهم ابدا فرصة. I been enjoying her music for years, it’s simply timeless and her video (Advanced Jazz and Latin Improvisation) Volume 2 is one of my all time favs. قالت لي ان تتمتع الموسيقى لسنوات ، انها بكل بساطة هي لكل زمان والفيديو (متقدم اللاتينية والجاز الارتجال (المجلد 2 هو واحد من بلادي كل الوقت favs. Her personality always came to life in her videos and recordings and she will be missed forever. شخصيتها دائما عادت الى الحياة في بلدها واشرطه الفيديو والتسجيلات وقالت انها سوف تضيع الى الابد.

   Thank you for this wealth of information about Emily. اشكركم على هذه الثروة من المعلومات عن اميلي. I’m so pleased that there are so many fans who still miss her and can find solace in these pages. انا من دواعي سرور ان هناك الكثير من مشجعين لا تزال نفتقدها ويمكن ان تجد العزاء في هذه الصفحات. The videos are fabulous. اشرطه الفيديو هي رائع.

   I faithfully followed Emily’s advice in her hotlicks video to play bossa nova like the brazilians do. أنني اتبعت باخلاص اميلي نصائح في تقريرها hotlicks فيديو لبوسا نوفا تقوم به مثل البرازيليين القيام به. This led me to discover other guitarists like Garoto, Baden Powell, Raphael Rabello, and Guinga. وادى ذلك الى اكتشاف لي الاخرى عازفو القيثاره مثل garoto ، بادن باول ، رافاييل Rabello ، وguinga. But Emily will always be my favorite brazilian guitarist. ولكن سيكون دائما اميلي المفضل البرازيلي عازف القيثاره.

   I have a vinyl record that she appears on as a sideman that is not on your comprehensive list. لدي سجل الفينيل انها على ما يبدو أن أحد عازف موسيقى الجاز على انتخابكم ليست قائمة شاملة. The album is titled “Deuce” by Jean Fineberg and Ellen Seeling, (Redwood Records, 1986). الألبوم يحمل عنوان "التعادل" لجان fineberg والين seeling ، (سجلات الخشب الاحمر ، 1986).    HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY! عيد ميلاد سعيد اميلي!
   I was part of that family Larry Grinnell refers to in his comments. كنت جزءا من هذه العائلة لاري في Grinnell يشير الى تعليقاته. I watched my beautiful cousin live a hard, challenging, but joyous life on the road over the years. شاهدت بلادي الجميلة ابن عم يعيش الصعبة ، وهو ما يشكل تحديا ، لكن الفرحه على طريق الحياة على مر السنين. How much I wish I could go back to that night in Fort Lauderdale and undo what would be coming up shortly in her life. وكم أتمنى أن يعود الى تلك الليلة في فورت لودرديل وازالة ما من شأنه ان يكون الخروج في وقت قريب في حياتها. Not a week goes by that I don’t think about her and miss her madly. لا يكاد يمر اسبوع الذي لا اظن عن بلدها ونفتقدها بجنون. I cannot thank you all enough for continuing to appreciate her music and share in the fascinating woman that she was. لا استطيع ان اشكركم جميعا على ما يكفي للاستمرار في الموسيقى ونقدر لها حصة في السحر وقالت انها امرأة.

   Keep her memory as real as she was! تبقى ذكراها كما انها كانت حقيقية!

    Emily Remler was the woman who got me into playing jazzguitar. اميلي remler كانت امرأة من حصل لي في اللعب jazzguitar. I’ve played the guitar for 7 years, since I was 11. لقد لعب الغيتار لمدة 7 سنوات ، منذ ان كنت 11. It was mostly pop, rock and a bit classical stuff that I did until I saw her Hot Licks videoes approximatly one year ago. وكان معظمهم من الملوثات العضويه الثابتة ، الصخرة قليلا والكلاسيكيه الاشياء التي فعلت حتى رأيت لها الساخنه اللعقات videoes approximatly قبل عام واحد. She opened my ears for this beautiful, interesting, expressive, complex and fun music on the best instrument in the world! وقالت انها فتحت آذان بلدي لهذا البلد الجميل ، للاهتمام ، والتعبيريه ، ومتعة الموسيقى المعقده على افضل اداة في العالم! Her music was special, her personality was special and, being a female guitarist myself, she became my special and most beloved idol, rapidly. وكان لها الموسيقى الخاصة ، وشخصيتها الخاصة ، وكان ، وكوني امرأة وعازف القيثاره نفسي ، وقالت إنها أصبحت خاصا لي وأحب المعبود ، على وجه السرعه.

    I still grieve that she’s gone. وما زلت أن نحزن أنها ذهبت.     Emily Remler was a magnificent, luminous human being who lighted the world’s stage for the briefest of moments and then was heard no more. اميلي remler كان عظيما ، مضيءه من البشر في العالم lighted المرحلة اقصر من لحظات وبعد ذلك سمع صوت لا أكثر. But what a moment it was indeed!! ولكن ما لحظه انه كان في الواقع!

    Although I did not know her personally, her music and the videos that have been posted on this excellent site have touched my heart and soul in a way that little has been able to for a great many years. ورغم أني لا أعرف لها شخصيا ، هي الموسيقى واشرطه الفيديو التى تم نشرها على هذا الموقع الممتاز وقد تطرق بلادي في القلب والروح على نحو ضئيل وقد تمكن لعدد كبير من السنوات.     When I first heard of Emily’s death, I felt angry. انني عندما سمعت اول وفاة اميلي ، شعرت بالغضب. I felt that it should have been me and not her. وشعرت انه كان ينبغي ان يكون لها وليس لي. I would have given my own worthless life in exchange if it could have brought back this great and irreplaceable person. واود ان اعطي بلدي قيمة الحياة في تبادل اذا كان يمكن ان يعود هذا الشخص العظيم والذي لا بديل له. That’s how special she was (and is)!! ان الطريقة الخاصة وقالت انها (وأمر)!

    Thank you, Emily!! اشكركم ، اميلي! Thank you so much for the lovely gift of love, passion and beauty which I can never, ever repay. شكرا جزيلا للهدية جميلة من الحب والعاطفه والجمال الذي لا يمكن ابدا ، وسداد من اي وقت مضى.

    I still shake my head in disbelief at times when It hits me that Emily has left the house … Seems like just last Friday (this was circa ‘86-’87) when a Brasilian friend and I went to an afternoon/Evening Festival at Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing and this was the line-up: انا تهز رأسي في الكفر في بعض الأحيان وعندما يبلغ لي ان اميلي قد غادرت المنزل… ويبدو ان يوم الجمعة الماضي (وكان ذلك حوالي '86-'87) عندما Brasilian صديق وذهبت الى بعد الظهر / مساء في مهرجان فيلادلفيا 'بن المقصوده وكان هذا التراصف :

    I had the great pleasure to twice see Emily playing in a duo setting with Larry Coryell in Fort Lauderdale at the old Cafe Exchange in the mid-late 80s. كان لي عظيم الشرف مرتين انظر اميلي اللعب في تحديد الثنائي مع لاري coryell في فورت لودرديل في مقهى تبادل القديمة في منتصف أواخر الثمانينات. She apparently had some family in the area, as she spent a lot of time with a group of people in the front row of this fabulous dive. يبدو أنها كانت بعض الأسر في المنطقة ، كما أنها انفقت الكثير من الوقت مع مجموعة من الناس في الصف الاول من هذا رائع الغطس. I enjoyed a few moments with Coryell, sharing stories about my uncle, who taught Larry some Johnny Smith moves many years ago. استمتعت بها لحظات قليلة مع coryell ، وتقاسم قصص عن عمى ، لأرى من تدريس بعض التحركات جوني سميث منذ سنوات عديدة.

Larry has his huge Gibson Super 400 and switched off to an Ovation for several pieces. لأرى له ضخمة جيبسون والسوبر 400 مغلقا لعدة قطع لالحفاوه.

    I will always remember her incredible musicianship and continue to wonder where she would be today, musically. وسوف نتذكر دائما هي لا تصدق الموسيقيه وتستمر لترى أين وأضافت انها ستكون اليوم ، موسيقيا. Sad we will never know. المحزن اننا لن نعرف.

    Unfortunately, I did not discover Emily until 1992, after she had passed away. ومما يؤسف له أنني لم تكتشف اميلي حتى عام 1992 ، بعد أن وافته المنية. I happened upon East to Wes and couldn’t resisting asking the age old question: “Can she really play guitar/jazz?” It took a few listens before I understood what she was talking about. الاول حصل عليه من الشرق الى الماء والاصحاح البيئي ومقاومه لا يمكن ان تطلب من العمر على السؤال القديم : "وقالت انها يمكن ان تقوم به فعلا جيتار / الجاز؟" استغرق بضع يسمع قبل وقالت انها فهمت ما كان يتحدث عن. She has never disappointed - her melodic dialogue, creativeness, technique, well, just pure genius, I’ma fan of everything she did. وقالت انها لم بخيبه آمل -- الحوار هي لحني ، والخلق ، تقنيه ، حسنا ، مجرد محض عبقريه ، انا هاوي وقالت انها فعلت كل شيء.

    I had the chance to see the performance of Emily Remler and Monthy Alexander at The “Teatro Municipal” in Caracas, Venezuela around 1979 or 80. سنحت لي فرصة لرؤية اداء اميلي remler وmonthy الكسندر على ملعب "teatro البلدية" في كاراكاس ، فنزويلا نحو 80 او 1979. At that time they were playing with Venezuelan Jazz Artists “El Pavo” Frank on drums and Hector Hernandez “El pecho…” on acustic bass. في ذلك الوقت كانوا يلعبون مع فنانين الجاز الفنزويلي "el pavo" صريح على البراميل وهكتور هرنانديز "… el pecho" على acustic البص. Incredible music … on song that I liked a lot was “Latin Brother” لا تصدق على الاغنية والموسيقى… احببت ان الكثير كان "اللاتينية شقيقة"

I saw Emily live with Larry Coryell and I just about fell off my chair. رأيت اميلي يعيش مع لاري coryell وأنا فقط عن سقطت من بلدي الرئاسة. I met her and Larry and looked foward to hearing her through the years. التقيت بها وأرى ويتطلع الى الاستماع الى foward لها على مر السنين. It was not to be. وكان لا يجب أن تكون. I am a guitar player-teacher and have know and loved Emily’s work since the 80’s. انا لاعب جيتار والمعلمين لم يعرفوا اميلي واحب عمل منذ 80 's. I never saw her live but her music has affected me deeply. ما رأيت لها العيش ولكن الموسيقى لها اثر عميق لي. She has been one of my major influences. وقالت انها كانت من التأثيرات الرئيسية بلدي.     I’ve always dug Emily’s sound and her tunes, and especially her covers (eg, Tad Dameron’s “Hot House”). لقد قمت دائما حفر اميلي السليمه وألحان لها ، وخاصة لها ويشمل (على سبيل المثال ، غلام dameron "البيت الساخن").     I wish this site had existed years ago as I’ve spent so much time rewinding and pausing her two videos in order to work out every note. واود في هذا الموقع كانت موجودة منذ سنوات وكما كنت تنفق الكثير من الوقت واللف التوقف شريطي فيديو لها من اجل العمل على كل ملاحظه.     Around 1986 I was living in Istanbul Turkey. حوالى 1986 كنت اعيش في اسطنبول في تركيا. A local jazz programme played the whole of Catwalk, an album of original tunes by guitarist Emily Remler. برنامج محلي الجاز الذي تؤديه الجامعة للمنصة ، البوم الاصل من الحان عازف القيثاره اميلي remler من قبل. I recorded the show and played it back over and over again. وسجل المعرض الاول ولعب الى اعادتها مرارا وتكرارا. The compositions (Mocha Spice, Catwalk, Gwendolyn, Antonio, Pedals, Five Years, Mozambique) were original, had a direct line back to the jazz tradition, had a relaxed swing, sensitivity and strong sense of purpose. التراكيب (mocha التوابل ، منصة ، gwendolyn ، انطونيو ، والدواسات ، خمس سنوات ، وموزامبيق) هي الاصل ، وكان الخط المباشر العودة الى تقاليد موسيقى الجاز ، كان سوينغ استرخاء ، والحساسيه واحساس قوي الغرض.     I played most styles of guitar for years, and pretty well too, and only stopped for medical reasons. لعبت معظم اساليب قيثارة لسنوات ، وجميلة جدا ايضا ، والا توقفت لاسباب طبية. Also did a fair bit of arranging and so on. كما لم عادلة قليلا من الترتيب وما الى ذلك. I know a great guitarist when I hear one, and Emily was one. وانا اعرف عازف القيثاره كبير عندما اسمع احد ، وكان احد ايميلي.

    I had been really looking forward to hearing Emily in concert (for the first time) in Australia, in 1990. الأول كان حقا نتطلع الى الاستماع الى ايميلي في الحفله) لاول مرة) في استراليا ، في عام 1990. But it didn’t work out that way for reasons you all know. ولكنه لم ينجح الى ان الطريق لاسباب تعلمون جميعا.     Emily was one of the greatest jazz guitarists in the world and would have gone on to become the greatest it is said. اميلي هو واحد من اعظم عازفو القيثاره الجاز في العالم ، وكان سينتهي على ان تصبح أكبر على ما يقال. Very rare to have a female jazz player and she was beautiful at that! نادرة جدا ان يكون لاعبا والاناث الجاز وقالت انها جميلة في ذلك! I have everything she has done and she has inspired me to go all out and become the jazz player I think I can be. لقد فعلت كل شيء وانها الهم لي للذهاب الى جميع واصبح الجاز لاعب واعتقد انني يمكن ان تكون. I just hope her and Stevie Ray Vaughan are waiting for me when I get to Heaven, now that would make heaven even better! انا فقط هي الامل وستيفي رأى فون ينتظرون بالنسبة لي عندما احصل الى السماء ، التي من شأنها ان تجعل الآن افضل حتى السماء!
